Our client is a global outsourcing provider of integrated supply chain services associated with maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in large manufacturing facilities. They partner with leading multinational organisations, providing expert on-site solutions and fostering strong relationships with both clients and suppliers through effective communication and exceptional service.
Currently, they are looking for a motivated Site Lead/Senior Buyer to join their team in Ascoli Piceno, Italy.
Job Profile for Site Lead/Senior Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
- Liaise with engineers and client personnel to support daily operations
- Attend weekly KPI meetings and update client reports as required
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year staff KPI reviews
- Update and maintain the daily team huddle, weekly dashboard, monthly report pack, quarterly scorecard, and annual report
- Manage and support the inventory and warehouse team, ensuring all duties are completed and required reports are updated
- Drive contractual customer commitments at the local integrated supply site, including cost-saving initiatives and KPIs
- Source supplies for clients and prepare quotations
- Obtain purchase orders from clients to support approved quotations
- Create sales orders in line with client requirements
- Match client purchase orders with sales orders and manage invoice dispatch
- Place orders with suppliers and issue purchase order numbers
- Monitor all open client orders and follow up on delayed items
- Inform clients of delays or issues through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Meet strict deadlines while delivering accurate and timely information
- Liaise with the client’s maintenance planners to communicate delays and adjust planned work orders when possible
Candidate Profile for Site Lead/Senior Buyer
- Must be fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential
- Proficiency using ERP systems, ie SAP, EAMs
- Previous Pharma experience is an advantage
- Strong procurement background with excellent administrative skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, work to deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
- Flexible approach to all areas of the role
- Excellent people skills with a focus on building and strengthening the client relationship
- A strong focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and creative skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
