Senior Butler, Milan

Butler – Private Residence, Milan, 60-70,000 euros per annum

Location: Milan, Italy (with occasional travel to other residences in St. Moritz, Capri, and abroad)

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly professional and discreet Butler to support the private residence of a family engaged in the investment and luxury hospitality sectors. The Butler will be responsible for managing and organising the household, ensuring seamless operations, coordinating staff, and delivering top-tier service with professionalism, including butler duties, guest services, and driving.

Key Responsibilities

• House Organisation & Staff Coordination: Oversee daily household operations, manage supplies, and coordinate household staff schedules according to family needs.
• Driving Duties: Provide safe and reliable driving services as required.
• Guest Services: Welcome and assist family members and guests, ensuring a flawless and professional experience.
• Private Events: Organise and manage private events, formal dinners, and receptions. Liaise with external caterers and provide high-quality table service.
• Household Inventory: Manage household inventory, supplies, and the wine cellar.
• Wardrobe & Personal Items: Oversee the care, organisation, and maintenance of clothing, shoes, and accessories.
• Residence Maintenance: Conduct regular checks to maintain the household in impeccable condition, indoors and outdoors.
• Travel & Other Residences: Travel with or in advance of the family to manage and prepare other residences, ensuring smooth operations.
• Vendor & Service Management: Act as the main point of contact for external vendors (e.g., florists, caterers, maintenance staff).
• Family Relations: Maintain clear communication with family members, ensuring needs are anticipated and met with complete confidentiality and discretion.
• Coordination: Work closely with the wider support team and personal assistants on schedules, childcare arrangements, travel plans, and ad hoc requests.

Key Competencies & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Butler or in a similar role within private households or luxury hospitality.
• Residency in Milan.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and adaptability.
