Purpose of the Role

As the Senior Business Development Manager for Southern Europe, you will lead Easee’s commercial market entry and early-stage growth across Spain, Italy and Portugal. You will identify high-value opportunities, build key partnerships, and shape the go-to-market strategy for the region.

This role is foundational to Easee’s success in Southern Europe. You will be responsible for building the commercial groundwork that enables scale - creating the relationships, insights, and early traction that guide our long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Go-to-Market Planning

  • Define and execute the GTM strategy for Spain, Italy, and Portugal, including channels, segments, pricing, and building a partner ecosystem.
  • Identify and prioritise market entry pathways (wholesalers, installers, utilities, automotive).
  • Build a structured regional launch plan, including positioning, value propositions, sequencing, and commercial priorities.
  • Translate local insights into actionable tactics across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support.
  • Ensure regional plans align with Easee’s global commercial strategy and product roadmap.

Regional Business Development & Sales

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of early commercial opportunities across the region.
  • Identify, develop, and negotiate partnerships with key ecosystem players (utilities, wholesalers, installers, automotive, technology partners).
  • Lead proposals, negotiations, and initial commercial agreements.
  • Secure key customers and foundational partnerships to accelerate market adoption.
  • Ensure all commercial activities meet Easee’s financial, operational, and legal standards.

Market Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct continuous analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory frameworks in Spain, Italy, and Portugal.
  • Deliver regular insight reports to the leadership team to support strategic decisions.
  • Identify early market risks and opportunities, recommending proactive commercial positioning.
  • Ensure local insights are reflected in wider commercial planning and product development.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, Legal, and Customer Support to ensure coordinated market entry.
  • Represent Easee at regional industry events, partner meetings, and commercial engagements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between local partners/customers and internal Easee teams.
  • Lay the groundwork for future team expansion and step into leadership as the region scales.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Proven commercial or business development experience and network in Spain, Italy, or Portugal (EV charging, energy, mobility, or hardware/technology preferred).
  • Strong understanding of energy and mobility markets across Southern Europe.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and close commercial opportunities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including market assessments and business case preparation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across cultures.
  • Ability to work independently, build from zero, and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Fluent in English and at least one regional language (Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese).
