Opportunity
Join us as Senior Brand & Visual Strategy Lead. You will be part of our Milan Aesthetic Research Center, one of Huawei’s Research Centers, committed to enhancing the quality of Huawei products. This role sits at the intersection of strategic marketing, cultural insight, and aesthetic direction. The center operates as both a think tank and an execution hub: approximately 50% of the work focuses on identifying and decoding socio‑demographic, cultural, and design trends, while the remaining 50% translates these insights into impactful branding, communication, and design outputs.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on global and Chinese markets, with a focus on the Automotive sector and adjacent industries
- Conduct research on cultural, technological, and consumer trends that influence brand perception
- Analyze relevant brand benchmarks and visual communication approaches across industries
- Monitor shifts in branding and design practices to identify inspiration and opportunities for innovation
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, blind spots, and emerging opportunities
- Develop clear and compelling frameworks, conceptual maps, and infographics to synthesize insights
- Translate research findings into actionable brand strategies, including positioning, vision, mission, and value definition
- Contribute to the strategic development of marketing and advertising campaigns, from concept to narrative structure
- Continuously monitor and categorize macro and micro trends across socio‑cultural shifts and design domains (brand design, product design, automotive design, UI/UX, etc.)
- Extract meaningful insights and translate them into forward‑looking strategic directions
- Create highly refined aesthetic moodboards and define creative territories that guide brand expression
- Design and deliver high‑quality presentations that communicate complex ideas in a clear, structured, and visually compelling way
Required Qualifications
- 7–8+ years of experience in brand strategy, design strategy, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Design or a related field
- Strong expertise in marketing fundamentals, including strategy, positioning, brand building, brand houses and communication
- Proven ability to work with trend research, cultural analysis, and design‑driven insights
- Advanced skills in developing aesthetic directions, moodboards, and visual narratives
- Experience translating research into tangible creative and strategic outputs
- Excellent storytelling and presentation design skills
- (Preferred) Knowledge of Chinese market dynamics and cultural context. Prior experience working with or within China is highly valued
- (Preferred) Exposure to or basic experience within the Automotive industry

- Creative and concept‑driven thinking with curiosity for emerging branding and design trends
- Strong research and analytical abilities to translate insights into compelling design ideas
- Clear communication and presentation skills to share concepts and collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to creative discussions
- Attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with brand consistency and project requirements
