Senior Bonds Underwriter

Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
Global Corporate & Commercial Italy is the unit of Generali Italia S.p.A. that develops insurance services for medium and large corporate clients.
Based in Rome or Milan, in the Bonds department of GC&CI - Underwriting, you will deal with "sureties bonds policies" underwriting activities. You will support the global strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the targets.
Main tasks:
* Assessing and fixing "credit lines" and underwriting "sureties bonds policies" in respect of all line of business products, with the capability to drive the relationship with internal and external stakeholders in the insurance and reinsurance market
* Running portfolio management activities to achieve targets in harmony with the Bonds governance framework (Underwriting Authorities, Guidelines, Rules and Principles)
* Supporting products development activity
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* Economics/Law University degree
* At least ten years of relevant experience as a Bonds Underwriter
* Strong financial analytical skills
* Good communication skills, ability to work in an international context, fluent in English and Italian
* Flexibility to work in team as well as independently, attitude in commercial negotiation
* Good command of main IT packages and practice in the use of underwriting tools
