Job Description: Digital Architect for BMS SOCs at NXP Semiconductors

As part of NXP's Electrification strategy, the Battery Management Systems (BMS) business is expanding, aiming to become one of the largest semiconductor suppliers in this segment by creating added value for our customers and partners.
We are seeking a Digital Architect to define the architecture of upcoming BMS SoCs, enabling our next-generation advanced BMS solutions. You will work with a team of senior system architects to achieve this.
Your Responsibilities
- Create functional requirements based on market and customer needs.
- Analyze requirements and generate concepts and documentation.
- Benchmark different architectures and explore design spaces to optimize performance, power, and die size.
- Define gateway and digital block architecture in collaboration with hardware, firmware, and software teams.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of experience in integrated circuitry design, definition, or similar within industrial or automotive semiconductor applications.
- Strong analytical skills to understand and propose solutions for electronic circuits and systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English and cultural awareness.
Your Experience
- Expertise in semiconductor architecture and SOC design.
- Experience with Automotive Tier 1 or 2 suppliers in BMS development is preferred.
- Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, UART, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in HDL (Verilog/VHDL), scripting languages (Perl, Tcl), C/C++, and Python for hardware modeling.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA/emulation boards is advantageous.
- Familiarity with model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
- Experience with requirements tracking tools such as IBM DOORS.
- Strong team and interpersonal skills, self-driven attitude, and ability to work in an international environment.
