The role

We’re hiring a Back-End Developer to help design, build, and operate the services behind our FinTech platform.

You will join a collaborative, international engineering team working in an Agile environment and contribute to delivering reliable product capabilities in a regulated, security-sensitive domain.

In the modern development era, you’ll be expected to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly (for speed and quality), while maintaining strong human ownership of architecture, correctness, and production outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop product/application features, from technical design through implementation and release.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and clear technical/functional specifications.
• Deliver one or more requirements on time; inspect, analyse, and resolve reported bugs and defects.
• Build services that are observable and operable in production (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) and participate in on-call/incident practices as needed.
• Apply secure-by-default engineering practices for sensitive data and compliance-oriented systems.
• Use AI tools to accelerate delivery (e.g., code assistance, test generation, refactoring), while validating outcomes with reviews, automated tests, and security checks.

We are looking for someone who must have

• Strong experience as a Back-End Developer and interest in the Fintech space
• Proven experience with Java and Spring (including Spring Boot), plus JPA and Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of design and programming patterns
• Knowledge of build systems (Maven), version control systems (Git), and CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins/Bitbucket pipelines).
• A firm understanding of protocols like REST and HTTP.
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka and/or JMS-style messaging).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora) and Amazon AWS.
• Production mindset: observability, performance, reliability, and safe change practices (testing, rollouts, CI/CD).
• Good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken).
• Knowledge of the Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban)
