KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
We are looking for Senior Azure Architect
10+ Years Experience | Full-Time
Location:
Stabio, Switzerland — Hybrid (approx. 1 day/week onsite)
Language:
Italian — Mother Tongue (required)
Experience:
10+ years in Azure architecture and cloud solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern scalable, secure Azure cloud architectures
- Lead technical activities including solution design
- Define and own Azure infrastructure, networking, security, and DevOps architecture patterns
- Drive Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments and end-user computing transformation programs
- Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments with a focus on governance, compliance, and cost optimization
- Translate complex client requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and PoC blueprints
- Collaborate with delivery, commercial, and practice leadership teams to shape winning pursuit strategies
- Stay current with Azure product roadmap and contribute to HCLTech's Azure Centre of Excellence
Required Technical Skills
- Azure IaaS / PaaS / SaaS architecture — VMs, App Services, AKS, Logic Apps, API Management
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) — design, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Azure Networking — VNet, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Front Door, DNS
- Azure Security — Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, Entra ID (AAD), RBAC, Zero Trust
- DevOps & CI/CD — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates
- Azure Developer tooling — Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL
- AI & Data foundations — Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Data Factory, Fabric/Synapse
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365 architecture and integration patterns
- Identity & access management — SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM
- FinOps — Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, right-sizing methodologies
Required Certifications (Current Validity)
Candidates must hold all of the following certifications in active validity at the time of application:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals

Microsoft Certified Professional
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of hands-on Azure architecture experience in enterprise or consulting environments
- Demonstrable track record delivering cloud transformation programmes for large organizations
- Strong background in Retail, Fashion, CPG, or adjacent industries is a significant advantage
- Experience working in a European matrixed organization with multicultural teams
- Proven ability to engage at CxO and Director level — translating business challenges into technology solutions
Language Requirements
- Italian: Mother Tongue / C2 — mandatory for client engagement in the Ticino region
- English: Fluent (C1 or above) — required for internal collaboration and documentation
- Spanish : an advantage for broader European account coverage
