Senior Architect

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience, with the ability to lead large‑scale projects in the Concept, Schematic Design, Detail Design and Site Supervision phases, coordinating internal and external teams and managing the relationship with the client.

• Oversee and manage projects and teams, while also being involved in the production of projects.
• Manage the design process, scheduling workflow and outputs, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality designs that align with our ethos and vision.
• Work primarily in the retail sector, with exposure to other sectors and a variety of geographies, including internationally, and build a network and profile in Madrid to support business development.

You will be supported by a local Associate and Director of Architecture, alongside our wider practice support team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience with the ability to lead large‑scale projects in the concept, schematic design, detail design and site supervision phases.
• Good command of English and Spanish, fluency in both languages.
• Residency in Madrid.
• Desire to contribute to business development, client‑facing presentations and building your role in this area.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proven client‑facing project architect capable of running the design process and delivering the project as a team leader and primary point of contact.
• Experience in retail, shopping centres and mixed‑use projects.
• Creative ability and technical knowledge.
• Good graphic and verbal presentation skills.
• Project and team running experience.
• Commercial awareness, knowledge of Spanish Building Regulations and excellent attention to detail.
• High level of concentration, enthusiasm, ambition and passion for growth and building a career.
• Ability to travel.
• Calm under pressure, proactive, self‑motivated, team player and inspiring.
