EAA – Emre Arolat Architecture is expanding its international presence with the opening of a new studio in Florence, a city where art, craftsmanship, and architectural heritage have long intertwined. Following its studios in Istanbul, and London, the Florence office marks a new chapter in EAA’s ongoing dialogue between local context and global discourse. The new studio aims to engage with the rich architectural and cultural fabric of Italy, fostering collaborations that bridge contemporary practice with deep-rooted traditions of making and thinking about space. Within this scope, EAA is seeking Senior Architects to join the Florence team — critical thinkers and talented designers who will contribute to the studio’s evolving design culture and its commitment to critical, contextually grounded architecture.

Job Description

Actively leads small to large scale projects under the supervision of the design partner.

Demonstrates problem-solving skills and process innovation while showing high attention to precision and accuracy at a project level.

Produces, eases, and coordinates the production of project presentations and deliverables (graphs, 3D models, drawings, renderings, physical models, and animations).

Maintains effective communication with project teams internally as well as external teams, consultants, and clients in a prompt and proper manner.

Competent in working with and leading a team remotely, making efficient use of remote connection tools.

Makes necessary preparations and documentation of meeting agendas and minutes of meetings with consultants and clients as well as internal project reviews with the partners.

Performs a strong conceptual design ability by incorporating multidisciplinary inputs to effectively develop and manage projects as a part of larger-scale developments and smaller-scale projects.

presents constructive approaches and ideas while collaborating with the consultant team and client level by active contribution.

Demonstrates an advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, universal codes, details, and construction techniques. Capable of using proper instruments to design and document all project stages including artistic site supervision experience.

Manages and checks project documentation according to the checklists and technical requirements (dimensions, details, specifications, and drawing set organizations etc.).

Manages time and workload of own work efforts and those of others to meet project task deadlines and commitments, with occasional interaction and direction from team leaders while guiding and teaching less experienced staff.

Leadership Responsibilities

Encourages and guides team members by identifying the expectations and responsibilities thoroughly and delegating appropriately.

Develops a well-defined and coherent work plan to fulfill the project budget, deliverables, and program together with team members.

Actively engages in internal and external professional development opportunities.

Provides contribution to improve the standards, guides, and procedures.

Takes necessary measures to prevent financial and legal risks.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited school.

8 years of professional experience.

Proficiency in written and spoken English and Italian.

Working knowledge of Sketchup, AutoCAD, MS Office Programs, and Adobe Photoshop.

Lumion competence is plus.

LEED accreditation preferred.
