Responsibilities
- Issuers: Serve as the primary contact for issuers, managing the day‑to‑day analytical relationship. Lead meetings with companies’ top management and prepare materials for presentation to the S&P rating committee.
- Publications: Publish high‑quality, forward‑looking rating reports and author or co‑author research pieces on the sector.
- Outreach: Communicate thought leadership and credit stories via appropriate channels such as publications, speeches, conference presentations, and media interviews.
- Innovation: Incorporate dynamic FI analysis parameters (ESG, digital disruption, business model transformation) and integrate forward‑looking views into research and committee presentations; identify internal innovations and process improvements.
- People: Promote a positive team atmosphere and uphold analytical and client‑service excellence.
- Work arrangement: All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3 – 5+ years of credit analysis or credit ratings experience in the financial institution space.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage effectively with senior management and global investors.
- Experience managing and interpreting data for analytical purposes.
- Deep understanding of FI business models and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to synthesize and interpret large volumes of financial data with strong numerical rigor.
- Solid analytical capability, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
- Capability to multi‑task and meet project deadlines within tight time frames.
- Self‑starter with a proactive attitude, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast‑changing, global and regulated environment while maintaining analytical rigor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent English writing ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of or pursuit of postgraduate studies/CFA certification.
- Experience managing complex analytical projects and meeting tight deadlines in financial services.
- Track record of producing high‑quality research and analytical reports.
- Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and rating committees.
- Strong command of a local language (French, Italian, or Spanish) is highly preferable.
