Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer – Semiconductor – Lombardy, Italy

An innovative semiconductor start-up is seeking an experienced Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation ultra‑low‑power mixed‑signal ICs for edge AI applications. This is a key technical position, offering the opportunity to help transition cutting‑edge technology from prototype into a commercial product while providing technical guidance to a growing IC design team.

What you’ll do as a Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer:

• Design and develop ultra‑low‑power analog and mixed‑signal ICs from architecture through to tape‑out.
• Drive the transition of prototype designs into robust, manufacturable products.
• Design, simulate and optimise analogue and mixed‑signal circuit blocks for low‑power applications.
• Work closely with IC layout, test and software engineering teams throughout the product development life cycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior members of the IC design team.
• Support silicon bring‑up, validation and post‑silicon debugging to ensure successful product delivery.
• Contribute to technical decision‑making within a fast‑paced, collaborative start‑up environment.

What you’ll bring as a Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer:

• Extensive experience in analog and mixed‑signal IC design within the semiconductor industry.
• Proven track record of taking IC designs from prototype through tape‑out into production.
• Strong expertise in ultra‑low‑power analogue circuit design and mixed‑signal architectures.
• Experience designing analogue building blocks and working closely with physical layout.
• Knowledge of memory design or memory‑related circuits would be advantageous.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership within an IC design team would be highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across design, test and software teams.
• Degree qualified in electronic engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
