The role

We’re now seeking a Senior AI Scientist to strengthenour AI research and development function, driving innovation that transformshow companies manage and optimise their spend. As a Senior AI Scientist, youwill be both a strategic architect and a hands‑on innovator, responsible for advancingSoldo’s AI vision from concept to production. You’ll join and help grow a teamof AI scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts in developingnext-generation AI models that power real‑time data enrichment, (near)real-time spend analytics, risk prediction, anomaly detection, and decisionintelligence within our platform.

You will collaborate closely with Product,Software Architects, Software Engineering and finance domain experts to ensure ourAI systems deliver measurable business value while maintaining transparency,compliance and ethical integrity.

KeyResponsibilities

-StrategicLeadership

• Executeonthecompany’sAIroadmapalignedwiththeoverallproductandbusinessstrategy.
• ContributetoourAIteamandamultidisciplinarysquad,fosteringinnovationandtechnicalexcellence.
• Collaboratewithleadershiptoidentifyandprioritisehigh - impactAIinitiatives.
• Selecttherighttools,frameworks,anddeploymentstrategies.Balancebusinessgoalswithtechnicalfeasibility.
• Design,architect/implement,andguideAIprojectsend-to end,likeforinstanceadvancedmachinelearning,deeplearning,andgenerativeAImodelsforspendenrichment,spendcategorisation,budgetforecasting,frauddetection,andanykindofoptimisation.
• ExploreandprototypenewAItechnologiesforproductandfinancialbehaviourmodelling,NLPforinvoice/documentunderstanding,RAGforproductenhancementandassistance,andreinforcementlearningforspendoptimisation.
• Ensurerobustmodelgovernance,includingexplainability,fairness,andcompliancewithfinancialregulations(e.g.,GDPR,ISO27001,SOC2).

-OperationalExcellence

• OverseedeploymentofAIsystemsintoproductionwithMLOpsbestpractices.
• Collaboratewithdataengineeringtoensurescalabledatapipelinesandqualitydatasets.
• Monitormodelperformance,continuouslyiteratetoimproveaccuracyandimpact,andensuredriftdetection,retrainingpipelines,androbus documentation.

• PhDorMaster’sdegreeinComputerScience,ArtificialIntelligence,MachineLearning,Statistics,orarelatedfield.
• ExtensiveexperienceinAI/MLresearchanddevelopment,includinginaleadershiprole.Expertiseinmachinelearning,NLPthroughLLMs,time - seriesforecasting,RAG,andanomalydetection.
• StrongprogrammingskillsinPython,andfamiliaritywithframeworkssuchasTensorFlow,PyTorch,Scikit-learn,VectorDBs,andLLMs.
• Deepunderstandingofdataarchitecture,MLOps,andcloudplatforms(atleastoneofAWS,GCP,orAzure).
• ProvenexperiencedesigningscalableAIarchitecturesintegratedwithproductionsystems.
• Excellentcommunicationandleadershipskills;abilitytoinspireandguidetechnicalteams.
