YOUR ROLE

At Palo IT, senior engineers are expected to beAI-Native by default . As aSeniorAI-NativeEngineer (Software) , you will lead the development of complex features and modules while guiding team members on technical decisions and AI-assisted development practices.

You will partner with Tech Leads, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. You will apply Palo IT'sGen-E2methodology to accelerate delivery and improve engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Development (Senior Scope)

• Lead the development of complex features, modules, and components.




• Designhigh-performance, scalable solutions using AI-powered approaches.




• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and AI-assisted analysis.




• Understand DevOps workflows and implementCI/CD automation pipelines .




• Establish best practices on code quality and performance within project scope.

AI-Native Engineering (Core Expectation)

• UseGenerative AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a first-class engineering assistant for code generation,optimisation, and problem-solving.




• Guideteammembers on effective use of AI tools and prompt engineering techniques.




• Establish AI/GenAI best practices within project scope, including output validation and guardrails.




• Leverage AI tools totroubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.




• Stay current withemerging AI technologies and development practices.

Collaboration & Technical Guidance

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical skills and AI-assisted workflows.




• Partner with Tech Leads and Architects toguide technical decisions within projects.




• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.




• Contribute toGen-E2 practices , reusable accelerators, and internal playbooks.




• Support presales and architecture discussions whenrequired.

Must-Have Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience




• Deep technologicalexpertiseand a strong software development background.




• Experience withsolution architecture .




• Team leadership experience.




• Experience in developingscalable, reliable, and secure applications .




• Preferred technologies includeReactJS for frontend development andNodeJS/Java/Python for backend development.




• Strong understanding of commonprogramming patterns and principles .




• Demonstrated use ofAI tools in day-to-day engineering work (not just theoretical exposure).

AI-Native & Gen-E2 Skills (Required)

• Hands-on, daily use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot or equivalent).




• Strong understanding ofprompt engineering principles foroptimalAI tool interaction.




• Experiencevalidatingand controlling GenAI outputs (hallucination handling, code review of AI-generated code).




• Critical thinking tovalidateand verify AI-generated code and solutions.

Good to Have

• Experience withAI/ML services and frameworks .




• Experience withcloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).




• Native mobile development (iOS, Android) orhybrid mobile development (Flutter, React Native).




• Certification in Claude AI (Anthropic) is a plus.
