Mission
As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for a Diagnostic Engineer - Aerospace & Defence sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.
We are seeking a Diagnostic Engineer to join our engineering team focused on the definition, implementation, and verification of diagnostic and Built-In Test (BIT) functionalities for advanced radar systems in the defense domain. The successful candidate will work closely with system, hardware, and software specialists to define diagnostic telemetry, contribute to system diagnostic architecture, and support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for BIT functions.
What is the challenge?
Support the design and development of diagnostic and Built-In Test (BIT) functionalities for radar systems.
Collaborate with system engineering teams to identify and define the telemetry data required for effective system diagnostics.
Contribute to the definition, management, and implementati on of FMECA outputs to support diagnostic design activities.
Perform Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for diagnostic and BIT functionalities.
Analyze telemetry data and system logs to identify anomalies and assess diagnostic performance and fault detection capabilities.
Support system integration and testing activities.
Provide technical support as a radar analyst when required.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including system, hardware, and software engineers, throughout the development life cycle.
Technical skills
Previous experience in the Aerospace sector is mandatory.
Good knowledge of MATLAB for data analysis and verification activities.
Understanding of system diagnostics principles, fault detection techniques, and Built-In Test (BIT) concepts.
Experience in analyzing telemetry and system data.
Familiarity with reliability analysis methodologies, particularly FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis ).
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Experience with collaborative engineering tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Good command of written and spoken English .
