Senior Accountant (Turkish) – Avient Corporation.
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the finance function and is responsible for the month‑end close process, reconciliation reporting, variance analysis, audits, enforcing department accounting policies, and other ad‑hoc projects. Additionally, this role assists with SAP initiatives and internal and external financial reporting. The position reports directly to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring consistent integrity of information in a timely manner.
- Compliance with internal and external accounting policies, procedures and legislation.
- Managing the month‑end process to ensure completion within prescribed timelines.
- Managing E‑Archiving Invoices, E‑Invoicing Portal, and exchange‑rate difference calculations.
- Reconciling and posting payroll information into SAP.
- Posting accruals based on cost‑centre revisions and in collaboration with business and manufacturing finance.
- Monthly review of the balance sheet of two legal entities to identify and resolve issues.
- FX approach and follow‑up.
- Local taxes calculation and payments.
- VAT returns and associated work.
- Working closely with the tax advisor to deliver tax computations and prepare tax calculations.
- Managing and supporting external audits.
- Performing other special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Italian, English, and Turkish.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
