Security Specialist – Monticelli D’Ongina Warehouse

The Security Specialist supports the implementation and execution of DHL Supply Chain security strategy, policies, and standards at the 2 warehouses dedicated to one of our clients. The role operates in close coordination with Country and Central Security teams.

The position acts as local point of contact for all security-related matters, including physical security, operational security, guard force management, incident management, and compliance, with the objective of protecting people, assets, customer goods, information, and the company’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all security activities at the 2 warehouses, including physical security systems, guarding services, and operational security processes.
  • Coordinate and supervise security guards and external security providers, ensuring service quality, performance monitoring, and compliance with contractual KPIs.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with DHL Supply Chain security policies, standards, and procedures across all security domains.
  • Act as the local security focal point, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal security frameworks.
  • Manage and support incident reporting, escalation, and investigations, ensuring timely and accurate communication to internal stakeholders and central security teams.
  • Support and participate in security risk assessments, audits, and inspections (internal, external, and customer-driven).
  • Ensure correct implementation and monitoring of security programs and initiatives at site level.
  • Promote security awareness and culture through training and communication initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance and oversight of subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party personnel operating on site from a security perspective.
  • Support security-related projects, including implementation or upgrade of technical systems and process improvements.
  • Maintain relationships with local authorities and law enforcement, where required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of physical security concepts applied to warehouses and logistics environments.
  • Experience with incident management, risk assessment, and security audits.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and MS Office.
  • High level of attention to detail and accountability.
  • Proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
