Security Operations Manager

For a Multinational Group with Italian Headquarter, we are looking for a Security Operations Manager with at least 5 years of experience in SOC relationships and operational security.

General Description of the Role

The Global IT Security Operations (Lead / Manager / Specialist) is a key role in the global IT team, reporting to the Group IT Senior Director of Global Service Delivery, based at the Group Corporate headquarters.

The role will be responsible for managing all security operations across the Group, utilizing service partners and a SOC. The focus is on ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures and managing security alerts raised by the SOC.

Mission / Objectives

Coordinate security operations activities across all IT environments within the company, in partnership with external outsourcing providers and the SOC. This includes maintaining key security parameters, handling security alerts, and ensuring adherence to security policies during project implementations and transition to run services.

Manage the vendor relationship with the SOC, ensuring SLA compliance, and improve security KPIs (MTTD, MTTA, MTTI, etc.) to continually enhance incident response services.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Governance of security incident activities according to processes and vendor deliverables, including monitoring and escalation of major security alerts.
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web security.
• Conduct technical vulnerability assessments and manage remediation plans to address identified risks.
• Stay updated on security trends, threats, and countermeasures.

Internal: Global Service Delivery Director; Service Delivery Tower Leads; Regional Service Managers; Enterprise Architecture & Technology Director; Security Manager; COE team; Regional IT Directors and Country Managers.

External: Technology and service providers.

Experience & Education

• Minimum 5 years of proven IT experience in a multinational company with an outsourcing model or in an IT consultancy focused on technology services. FMCG experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional European languages are advantageous.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in IT security disciplines such as security operations, network monitoring, or analysis (3-5 years).
• Experience with Azure cloud services, web proxies, firewalls (CheckPoint), intrusion detection/prevention systems, email security appliances, and enterprise Anti-Virus solutions (Microsoft ATP, SentinelOne).
• Proven experience working with third-party SOCs, incident response platforms, and SIEMs.
• Experience with Windows or Unix administration and network fundamentals.
• Knowledge of network logging, management, and security monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication skills, versatility, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
