Scrum Master – QA / Functional Expert
(Logistics Technology Environment)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and delivery-focused Scrum Master to support an international, multi-cultural development team working on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related logistics applications for a large, multi-country enterprise client.
This role combines Agile facilitation with functional expertise and quality assurance support . You will lead Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster continuous improvement while also supporting the Product Team with requirement analysis and functional testing activities.
The role is primarily remote, with periodic onsite collaboration at operational locations in Northern Italy (approximately 3–4 times per month). Occasional travel to other European sites may be required (2–4 times per year).
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Team Facilitation
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies with an outcome-driven approach, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure backlog refinement, Definition of Done, test coverage, and quality gates are consistently upheld.
- Ensure ceremonies are time-boxed, efficient, and aligned with sprint objectives.
- Promote accountability, ownership, and self-organisation within the development team.
- Track and share performance metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and iteration burn rate to support data-driven improvement.
Governance & Quality
- Ensure deliverables, test evidence, and release documentation meet internal governance and compliance standards.
- Support the Product Team in analysing functional requirements raised by business stakeholders.
- Contribute to or support functional and unit testing activities to ensure delivery quality.
Knowledge & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain well-structured and up-to-date JIRA and Confluence workspaces.
- Support transparent communication between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Engage directly with the client’s Product Team and operational key users to ensure alignment and clarity.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Knowledge & Background
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Scrum certification (PSM, PSPO, or equivalent).
- Fluent English.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
Desirable
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce environments.
- Experience working in international teams.
- Knowledge of collaborative tools such as Miro.
- Previous experience in a Scrum Master role (preferred but not mandatory).
- Development or technical background is advantageous.
- Additional European language skills are a plus.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (5+ years in a software development environment).
