Experteer Overview
In this role you contribute to EFSA’s mission of safeguarding European food safety by supporting scientific assessments in food/feed microbiology and industrial biotechnology. You will work with cross‑functional panels, preparing data‑driven materials, and drafting scientific outputs while coordinating expert groups and contract activities. The position offers exposure to regulatory science, risk assessment methodologies, and stakeholder engagement within an international environment. Collect, analyse and evaluate data for scientific materials and working documents Assist in drafting and reviewing scientific outputs and risk assessments Provide administrative and scientific support to Panels/Working Groups, including coordination of experts and meetings Contribute to development of scientific guidance and methodology Provide technical support to manage contracts and procurements Stay informed on scientific and regulatory developments relevant to the field Coordinate with European, national and international stakeholders Communicate scientific outputs in accessible terms to the public Responsabilità
Experience in Food/Feed Microbiology or Industrial Biotechnology Experience in writing and reviewing scientific documents and risk assessment Data analysis and interpretation in a scientific risk assessment context Experience in managing scientific projects and/or coordinating expert groups/networks Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) and ability to interact with stakeholders University‑level education of at least three years with a diploma Ability to work in an international, regulation‑driven environment Ability to deal with ambiguity and work with limited information Knowledge of regulatory and legislative aspects in the field Requisiti fondamentali
