We are looking for a Scientific Assistant to work in the Animal Health Team.

Retribuzione annua: 28000€ - 34000€

- Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level);
- Previous experience in animal health, biosecurity, epidemiology, disease control, risk assessment;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in animal health, biosecurity, epidemiology and/or related areas;
- Behavioural competencies: working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy.
Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment 12 months.
Salary: approx. €2259 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possiblewithin 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.

The interim will:
- Provide technical-scientific support in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data on animal diseases;
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific opinions and documents on risk assessment and disease control;
- Support the organization and documentation of working group meetings and expert consultations;
- Conduct scientific literature reviews (systematic reviews) on specific pathogens or biosecurity measures;
- Assist in the preparation of communications and presentations on risk assessment findings;
- Collaborate in the drafting of guidelines and protocols for disease surveillance and management in wildlife;
- Participate in the reporting process of the EUPAHW project results to relevant stakeholders.
