Scaffolding Supervisor

MISSION:

The Scaffolding Supervisor oversees all scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities on site to ensure safe and efficient operations. They ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations, particularly in hazardous oil and gas environments.

TASKS:

• Supervise scaffolding crews in the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolds across work sites.
• Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments before beginning work.
• Inspect scaffolding structures regularly for safety compliance and integrity.
• Ensure scaffolding materials are used according to manufacturer’s specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate scaffolding requirements with other site supervisors and engineers.
• Maintain a daily scaffolding activity log and report progress to project/site manager.
• Ensure all work is carried out following local laws, company HSE policies, and industry standards (e.G., OSHA, BS EN, API, ASME, etc.).
• Monitor and enforce the proper use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Order, track, and manage scaffolding materials and inventory.
• Provide training and mentoring to scaffolders and new team members.
• Interface with clients, third-party inspectors, and safety officers when required.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or certification in scaffolding (e.G., CISRS, SAIA, or equivalent).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of scaffolding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical is mandatory .
