Within this mission, the ICT & Digitisation Department at HT is expanding and seeking professionals with specific expertise in SAP S/4HANA related tasks.

Your mission

As SAP S/4HANA Expert you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s ERP system to ensure its alignment with business processes. You will design custom applications, troubleshoot issues, and support users across departments to maximize the system’s efficiency and functionality. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address development needs, resolve operational challenges, and deliver ERP training to end users in coordination with the HR Training area. You will report to the Head of ICT & Digitisation.

• Design, test, and debug software solutions to ensure seamless functionality.
• Collect and analyse development requirements from various departments to deliver tailored ERP enhancements.
• Maintain and update existing applications to remain compatible with business needs and technological advancements.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the SAP S/4HANA ERP system, critical for supporting administrative and operational processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues, providing timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Assist with system upgrades, maintenance activities, and the implementation of new features or modules.
• Provide support to ERP users, addressing inquiries and offering technical assistance.
• Collaborate with the HR Training team to deliver user training sessions on ERP functionalities, ensuring proper usage and adoption across the organization.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and system optimisation opportunities.
• Stay informed on updates to SAP S/4HANA and recommend enhancements to leverage new functionalities.
• Ensure compliance with data integrity and system security standards.

Essential – What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, SCM and SRM, including system configuration and user support.
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including configuration and in‑app customization.
• Strong understanding of ERP system operations, including financial accounting, procurement and supply chain modules.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting and SAP S/4HANA applications.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Full professional proficiency in Italian, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• SAP S/4HANA Public/Private Cloud Implementation consultant certification (Financial Accounting, Sourcing and Procurement, System Administration etc).
• Previous experience with a similar role in another research institute.

• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Adaptability in handling evolving business needs and system updates.

This is a permanent contract offered under CCNL Chimico Farmaceutico, Level B2. Salary: up to €50,000.00 depending on the candidate’s seniority. Number of positions offered: 1. The position is based in Milan, Italy, within our vibrant international campus.
