Responsibilities
- As a Sales Analyst: Analyse and develop solutions to clients’ needs; monitor markets and formulate trade ideas; perform analysis on fundamental and technical data; attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues.
- As a Trading Analyst: Monitor markets and generate trade ideas; participate in pricing products; help with daily tasks such as trade reporting or P&L analysis; assist with managing risk of the team’s trading books.
- Execute small research projects, prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings, and collaborate with senior management to implement research results for the global markets division.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and participate in training and development programmes.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, manage deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division.
- Manage client relationships and provide customer service to clients, responding to questions about products and processing transactions.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies to support decision making in the global markets division.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues.
Qualifications & Who We're Looking For
- Motivated and curious with a degree or expected degree in any area.
- Language requirements: fluent in English and Italian; German, French, Spanish are desirable.
- Interest in business and finance, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and develop a technical skill set.
Working in Milan
Capital of the Lombardy region, Milan is located in the Po Valley. Barclays is based at Via Broletto 4, Milan, where you will be part of our international finance team serving clients worldwide.
Purpose of the role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Execution of small research projects, communication of research findings, and collaboration with senior management to implement results for the global markets division.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participation in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, and management of deployment and launch of new products and services.
- Management of client relationships and provision of customer service, including responding to product questions and processing transactions.
