Are you a mechanical or a processing engineer with relevant professional experience in a sales role for injection molding, mold making or hot runners companies? Would you like to be part of a broad technical sales team who works providing the best technical solutions for customers?
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, results-oriented and willing professional, who loves interfacing with local and Group colleagues and customers worldwide.
Scope of the role:
The role is dedicated to further developing hot runner sales in the dedicated area, with very important relation and coordination responsibilities towards internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and develop close business relationships at multiple levels with current and new potential customers and their end customers
- Call perspective customers to qualify business opportunities and customer needs and assess Thermoplay potential
- Uncover opportunities for new equipment or refurbishing
- Regularly prepare and develop clear precise customer presentations explaining Thermoplay products and services
- Assist customers by providing technical expertise and product information, and offering solutions and recommendations
- Provide a high level of customer sales-related service
- Respond to requests for assistance with problems on molds, hot runners, controllers or overall systems
- Work cross-functionally with global sales, engineering, manufacturing, etc. representatives inside the group
- Value sell advantages over competitors’ products and/or services
- Getting RFQ and following up on quotes, and closing sales
- Report back to upper management written reports on customer needs, KPIs, problems, interests, activities etc..
- Meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Attend trade shows and conventions and travel to existing and prospective
Education, technical and soft skills, competences requested:
- University degree in the field of plastics: mechanical engineering, process engineering or technical training with relevant professional experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on technical exposure to injection molding, mold making, design engineering and hot runner techniques preferably in a sales role
- Technical knowledge in the areas of hot runner assembly, repair, troubleshooting, process optimization
- Great flexibility and willingness to travel in Italy and abroad
- 3 to 5 years of experience in technical sales with customized products
- Italian as mother tongue - English fluent (both written and spoken)
- Excellent commercial, results oriented, relationship, teamworking, organizational, problem solving and managerial competences
- Ability to determine feasibility based on drawings supplied by customer, and/or information obtained from sales or application engineering
- Ability to educate customers and offer additional tooling solutions and alternatives
- Mastery in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software
- Team-oriented with ability to work independently
