Opportunity

We are looking for a Sales & Operations Planning Manager. The S&OP Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the Sales & Operations Planning process, with the objective of ensuring alignment between market demand, production capacity, and company strategy.


Your responsibilities will be:

S&OP Process Management:

  • Coordinate and lead the monthly S&OP cycle (Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-S&OP, Executive S&OP),
  • Ensure sales forecast quality and reliability
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making processes


Demand Planning:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop accurate forecasts for professional coffee machines and vending machines
  • Analyze market trends, seasonality, and product launches
  • Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, and service level


Supply Planning and Production Capacity:

  • Align demand with production capacity and supplier availability
  • Identify production constraints and propose solutions (e.g., outsourcing, production mix adjustments)
  • Support Master Production Schedule (MPS) planning


Product Portfolio Management:

  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Management on product lifecycle management (launches, phase-out)
  • Optimize product range complexity and SKU structure


Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Interface with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Finance
  • Ensure alignment between commercial and operational objectives
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes


Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyze performance KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, forecast accuracy)
  • Identify improvement opportunities within S&OP processes
  • Implement digital tools and advanced planning models


To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:

  • Degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, or Supply Chain roles
  • Experience in manufacturing companies, preferably in the following sectors: Professional equipment (food equipment, Ho.Re.Ca.) or Home appliances
  • Advanced knowledge of S&OP/IBP processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and planning tools (e.g., APO, IBP, or similar)
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-driven approach
  • Leadership and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  • Fluency in Italian and English


Nice to have:

  • MBA or APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Knowledge of Ho.Re.Ca. and vending channel dynamics
  • Familiarity with complex electromechanical products (e.g., espresso coffee machines, vending machines)
  • Experience managing global and multi-site supply chains
