At our Rome headquarters, we are looking for a Sales Manager to drive and grow our involvement in European Union Space programmes.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in solution and services sales
- Strong knowledge of European Union Space programmes
- Solid understanding of European Union procurement processes
- In‑depth knowledge of programme frameworks, tendering procedures, and EU regulations
- Proven experience in coordinating international, multidisciplinary bid teams
- Ability to translate EU technical requirements into clear and compelling value propositions
- Excellent command of English (B2–C1 level); additional languages are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, effective communication, and team‑oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and manage opportunities related to EU programmes
- Manage the full EU sales lifecycle end‑to‑end, from opportunity identification (ITT, RFQ, RFP) through to contract negotiation
- Position the company in complex, multi‑partner, technically demanding projects
- Lead complex negotiations and oversee the preparation of high‑quality bid documentation
- Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships with prime contractors and technology SMEs
- Support the definition and execution of the company’s commercial strategy for EU clients
- Ensure high‑quality proposals and full compliance with EU requirements
