We Are Hiring! Lynxeo, formerly Nexans ISP, is seeking a seasoned Sales and Business Development Manager to join our Automation BU team. This is your chance to be part of a fresh and exciting journey with a new company focused on innovation and growth.

Reporting to the Automation Sales Director, located in Pioltello (Italy), this position is key for the development of our business, with a high ambition on sales growth. You'll be part of a team of 5 sales managers (Germany, Italy), serving a global business with footprints in the U.S, Europe and Asia.

Overview

We are looking for a candidate with a growth mindset to drive development in a market in constant progress: agile, ambitious, fast.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and commercial margin objectives according to the Commercial Action Plan.
  • Have intimate knowledge of target customers/markets, existing competitors, and industry trends that may impact buying decisions.
  • Investigate to define the leverage Lynxeo has to develop profitable growth.
  • Propose a sales action plan and develop alternative plans to continuously improve the business and budget.
  • Promote the Lynxeo value proposition, our offering, and reputation; develop relationships and loyalty while continuously detecting new opportunities.
  • Propose and implement improvements in customer and product portfolio and pricing.
  • Improve monthly Sales Forecasts Accuracy.
  • Identify projects and prospects that will generate profitable business in the short term (1 year): detect opportunities through active business development, collect information on upcoming projects, and anticipate negotiations.
  • Prepare a portfolio budget for year N+1 and secure profitable growth at Key Accounts through a disciplined negotiation process.
  • Participate in defining or changing the segment value chain (Lynxeo, agent, distributor).
  • Identify trends and opportunities for the medium term (next 3 years): represent Lynxeo with customers and prospects to maximize sales and margin in line with pricing strategy; collect and synthesize information on strategic trends, product families, new products, standards, and make-or-buy policies; contribute to the Strategic Plan for the portfolio and geographic area (market trends, mega trends, new regulations, competition inputs, new standards).

Responsibilities

  • You manage offers from Request For Quotes to payment, ensuring offers are reviewed with Customer Service, Legal, and Plants; present customized offers and negotiate contracts with distributors and agents.
  • Contribute to cash collection where required to decrease DSO and delinquency.

  • 5 to 7 years' experience
  • Experience in cable industry
  • Capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiar with sales tools like CRM, Sales Navigator
  • Experience in a fast-paced sales environment with pipeline/funnel management
  • Good presentation/communication skills
  • Experience in direct or channel sales
  • Italian/English
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet clients - Willing to travel >60%
