Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for Koppert Italy's sales and margins, through managing the sales team across Italy, optimizing market knowledge, developing customer relationships, and organizing initiatives to achieve these objectives. Your key responsibilities include
- Planning, organizing and managing the overall sales and marketing strategy in coordination with the communications and marketing department
- Analyzing market trends and farmers' needs, through regular contacts with key market players, performing visits and developing new business relationships
- Leading and supervising the entire sales team to ensure a high level of customer service, achieve company sales and margins targets, identify and develop new accounts in alignment with the strategic plan. Organize and perform periodic and annual reviews of the team’s performances
- As part of the management team
- being a partner of the General Manager and International Sales Management on key sales decisions and strategies
- being a partner of the CFO in customers-related financial decisions and in defining and designing robust processes for the Sales and Customers’ management areas
- Leading sales forecasts for production planning, as well as the preparation of the annual sales and cost budget, followed by in-year updates.
- Providing regular sales performance reports to the General Manager (based on KPIs)
- Maintaining close relationships with the headquarter company in the Netherlands and other subsidiaries.
- Planning and participating in trade shows, exhibitions, grower meetings and seminars.
- Collaborating with the R&D team to define priorities for technical needs
Other tasks may be assigned depending on market development.
Education: Master Degree in Agricultural Science and Technology; strong technical and scientific skills
Requested: solid experience in agricultural business
