What You Will Do
- Drive sales growth in the passenger ship segment, including small to midsize cruise lines, ferries, and luxury vessels.
- Build and manage relationships with shipyards, vessel owners, and operators across key global markets.
- Promote Johnson Controls’ portfolio of HVAC, fire safety, and integrated control solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and marine compliance standards.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the passenger ship market, with a focus on newbuilds, retrofits, and service contracts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, leveraging market intelligence and industry trends.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering, project management, and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Represent Johnson Controls at marine trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and customer records using CRM tools.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant marine regulations and Johnson Controls’ quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within marine, shipbuilding, or maritime equipment sectors.
- Extensive experience in international sales, with a specific focus on new build projects within the passenger ship industry.
- Strong understanding of the passenger ship ecosystem, including key players, procurement cycles, and technical requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel internationally as required.
- Technical background or familiarity with HVAC, fire safety, or automation systems is a plus.
- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional languages being a plus.
- Proficient in CRM Management (Salesforce preferred).
Location & Travel
Based either in the Italian office or at another European location. Requires frequent visits to clients throughout Europe and potentially other global destinations. Travel expected to be around 20‑30 days annually.
