Pre-Sales Engineer/ Senior Solution Engineer

Compensation:

  • Base: €80K – €85K
  • OTE: €115K (uncapped), 70/30 split

  • We’re partnering with a global technology vendor operating at the heart of the MSP and service provider ecosystem.
  • The business provides a suite of solutions across backup, infrastructure, endpoint, and security, enabling partners to manage, protect, and support their customers at scale.
  • Well-established, profitable, and continuing to grow across EMEA with a strong partner-led go-to-market.


The opportunity

  • This is a senior pre-sales position working closely with Account Managers and partners to drive technical wins across Italy.
  • You will play a key role in partner-led sales cycles, helping MSPs and service providers position solutions into their customer base.


What you’ll be responsible for

  • Owning the technical sales cycle across Italy
  • Supporting both direct and partner-led opportunities
  • Driving technical validation, solution design, and deal progression
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to partners and end customers
  • Think: technical closer, enabler, problem solver


What you’ll actually be doing

  • Working closely with MSPs and partners to support pipeline generation and deal execution
  • Leading technical discovery, demos, and workshops
  • Supporting partner-led sales cycles across mid-market and enterprise customers
  • Running proof of concepts and technical evaluations
  • Helping partners position solutions into their customer base
  • Supporting RFPs and complex deal cycles
  • Acting as the technical voice within key opportunities
  • Collaborating internally across sales, product, and engineering

What they’re looking for

  • 5+ years in a pre-sales / solution engineering position
  • Strong understanding of the MSP ecosystem
  • Background in backup, infrastructure, or cybersecurity
  • Experience working with MSPs, VARs, or service providers
  • Cloud exposure (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Confident running demos, workshops, and technical sales cycles
  • Commercially aware and comfortable influencing deals
  • High ownership, proactive, and able to operate in a fast-moving environment
