RWE Data Scientist

As a Real-World Evidence (RWE) Data Scientist at Aindo, you will act as a strategic bridge between AI innovation and the clinical world, ensuring that our Generative AI solutions meet the rigorous standards of high-stakes healthcare research.

Reports to: Chief Product & R&D Officer

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid, preferably Milan or Trieste

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute RWE Study Design: Apply advanced observational and quasi-experimental methods (e.g., target trial emulation, propensity score methods, G-computation) using both real and synthetic datasets
• Ensure Causal Fidelity: Implement validation frameworks to ensure synthetic data preserves the underlying cause-and-effect structures required to replicate clinical treatment effects
• Technical Bridge: Translate complex biostatistical requirements into actionable constraints for our Machine Learning engineers to ensure regulatory-grade outputs
• Contribute to Original Research: Co-author and submit papers to peer-reviewed journals, showcasing our innovations in synthetic data and causal identifiability
• Methodological Support: Serve as a subject matter expert on bias identification and study specifications, supporting clinical partners in maintaining high research standards

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years in biostatistics, pharmacoepidemiology, or clinical data science working with real-world data
• Solid hands-on experience with the potential outcomes framework, IPTW, matching, instrumental variables, and sensitivity analyses
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R , with experience in reproducible research workflows (Git)
• Proven ability to communicate complex statistical methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with FDA and EMA guidance regarding the use of RWE and synthetic data in evidence generation
