We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Rooms Division Manager to join our Thompson Rome Pre-Opening Team!
About the Role : You will report to the Operations Manager and the General Manager and coordinate all departments under the Rooms Division
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
You must exemplify the core values of the organization, demonstrating leadership through vision, collaboration, adaptability, and a results-driven approach. The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, organizing and controlling of Rooms Division, ensuring that the operation runs smoothly and efficiently, focused always on empathy, care and excellence in Customer Service, and making sure the communication between departments runs smoothly. You will be responsible for managing these outlets as successful independent profit centers, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Thompson and Hyatt International standards. The Rooms Division Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills, coupled with a passion for creating positively memorable experiences for all guests. This role will continue to maintain and implement Hyatt brand standards and adjust as needed in our local market.
- Vision : setting clear goals for all supervised departments operations to align with the hotel's overall strategy.
- Collaboration : Support, influence and inspire the Rooms Division team to deliver unscripted, innovative service while connecting with guests through empathy and care.
- Adaptability : Be flexible in addressing challenges and changing circumstances, ensuring seamless operations.
- Results Orientation : Focus on achieving high guest satisfaction scores and operational efficiency. To drive revenues and monitor all costs and recommending and implementing measures to control in accordance with annual budgets for each department.
Responsibilities :
Administration
- Assist in overseeing front office operations to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Maintain and update the Front Office Operations Manual to ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Facilitate effective internal communication and team meetings to streamline operations.
- Keep accurate records of guest feedback, operational issues, and service metrics.
Customer Service
- Ensure that all front office staff deliver exceptional service in line with the hotel’s brand promise.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes to provide a seamless experience.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and address any concerns proactively.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly, fostering a culture centered on guest satisfaction.
Financial
- Support the Front Office Manager in managing departmental budgets and controlling expenses.
- Assist with revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability.
- Analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and enhance guest experiences.
Marketing
- Collaborate with the events and marketing team to promote initiatives and guest programs.
- Assist in developing promotional materials and communications that reflect the hotel’s lifestyle brand.
- Monitor guest engagement with marketing campaigns and suggest improvements based on feedback.
Operations
- Supervise daily front office operations, ensuring consistency and quality of service.
- Ensure that all guest communications reflect the brand's identity and values.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
People & Talent Development
- To assist Human Resources in implementing effective training programs for divisional employees, maximising skills, knowledge and productivity whilst implementing effective succession planning.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the staff.
- Ensure team members meet brand standards and performance expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications : Excellence.
What You Bring
- Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluent Italian and English mandatory
- Experience in luxury and/or lifestyle hotels
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to details and problem solving skills
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Opera, CSR
- Qualification in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Tourism well regarded
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- A creative mindset and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
