For our client, international company developing AI-driven autonomy systems for vessels under 100 ft, combining robotics, sensor fusion, and onboard intelligence, we are looking for a:

hands-on Robotics Integration & Test Engineer



Responsabilità

Key Responsibilities Autonomy & Robotics:

  • Contribute to perception, planning, and control modules;
  • Support reinforcement learning models and autonomous behaviors;
  • Work with ROS2, Isaac ROS, PyTorch, and NVIDIA simulation tools Hardware & Systems Integration;
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems on unmanned vehicles;
  • Assemble and bring up hardware prototypes (compute, power, electronics);
  • Integrate and validate multi-sensor stacks (LiDAR, radar, vision, GNSS, IMU);
  • Support development of Mirai’s sensor-fusion hardware platform Prototyping & Field Testing;
  • Lead or support rapid prototyping of autonomous vessel configurations;
  • Run simulations, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations;
  • Execute test plans and troubleshoot integration issues in real environments Cross-Functional Collaboration;
  • Work closely with mechanical, systems, and software teams;
  • Contribute to documentation and integration processes


Profilo

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field;
  • A true passion for hands-on robotics (tinkering, soldering, prototyping, testing);
  • EU passport or unrestricted right to work in Italy;
  • Availability to work primarily on-site in Puglia (Bari or Taranto area);
  • Strong hands-on experience with robotics hardware and sensor integration;
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS;
  • Experience with ROS2, PX4 / ArduPilot, or similar autopilot stacks;
  • Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, mechanical assembly, electronics bring-up);
  • Comfortable with field testing and on-water prototyping;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with UAV/UAS or multi-sensor robotic systems;
  • Familiarity with Pixhawk, vehicle control systems, or maritime autonomy;
  • Exposure to NVIDIA Jetson, Isaac Sim, reinforcement learning, or perception pipelines;
  • Knowledge of control theory or real-time robotics;
  • Experience operating drones, small vessels, or unmanned systems.
