As MSC Air Cargo continues to expand its global footprint, we are seeking a dynamic Road Feeder Services Coordinator to adapt, implement and manage rules and regulations ensuring that the Road Feeder Service (RFS) provision at stations across the network is executed in a safe, on time, secure and compliant manner.


The Road Feeder Services (RFS) Coordinator is responsible for planning, monitoring, and supervising the day-to-day trucking and handling processes. This role ensures that results and performance align with set SLA and MSC Air Cargo goals, acting as the first point of contact for any deviations or irregularities.


YOUR IMPACT


Operational Coordination


  • Manage trucking operations within MSC Air Cargo’s network in coordination with and at the direction of the Global Cargo Operation Director.
  • Provide daily RFS updates and support to the MSC Air Cargo team.
  • Set-up of new RFS route and stations in cooperation with the GCOD and relevant departments. Support in digital integration of meaningful milestones for new routes/stations.
  • Coordinate Ad-Hoc requests and plan transport accordingly.
  • Review and approve invoices supplier invoices.
  • Follow up on the return of ULDs and equipment from offline handling stations and DDX customers in cooperation with MSC Air Cargo’s ULD coordinator.
  • Perform duties related to trucking pre-claims according to MSC Air Cargo standards.
  • Evaluate and escalate severe deviations in day-to-day business performance.


Coordination and Support


  • Help and support other departments to achieve set expectations and goals.
  • Plan transit shipments from import flights with regional operations teams.
  • Supervise and control the performance of offline handling agents.
  • Coordinate export drop stations and arrange export transport and direct customer pickups.
  • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across departments.


Performance Monitoring


  • Take overall responsibility for the daily RFS operations.
  • Review and measure operational performance against objectives continuously.
  • Control, measure, and report on trucking issues and development plans.
  • Ensure and manage agreed standards by providing clear guidelines and performance expectations.
  • Create overviews, statistics, and reports to control performance and expenses of trucking services.


YOUR BACKGROUND


  • Extensive experience of RFS service set-up, coordination and regulation, preferably within an Airline or GSSA.
  • General knowledge and experience in overall handling activities (export / import) of the Air Cargo business.
  • Thorough knowledge of Cargo/Transport Management Systems (CMS/TMS).
  • Proficiency in transport planning and coordination.
  • Proven ability to distil complex, ambiguous information with clear, analytical framework to drive decisions keeping both safety and quality at highest priority.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Some travel required within the region.
  • Fluent in English and ideally in Italian.
