Description

Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) is a not‑for‑profit society serving the Renfrew‑Collingwood neighbourhood of East Vancouver. RISE Community Health Centre (CHC) is a department of CNH funded by the Ministry of Health. RISE CHC supports the health and well‑being of Renfrew‑Collingwood residents by offering community‑based primary care and health promotion services. Populations of focus include newcomers, LGBTQ2SIA+, Indigenous, isolated seniors, youth, people experiencing homelessness, those working in the sex trade, and those experiencing mental health and substance use issues. Services are delivered by a diverse interdisciplinary team in partnership with other CNH departments and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Human Resources: ensure adequate staffing and supervise all non‑management primary care clinic staff.
• Administrative Oversight & Quality Improvement: coordinate CHC service delivery and quality improvement initiatives as part of the leadership team.
• Facilities Coordination: ensure the clinic premises is safe and that equipment and supplies are adequate.
• Financial Oversight: work with the Director to create and manage the budget.
• Records & Reporting: provide statistical reports for funders, ERM queries, prepare records, and oversee MSP billing.
• Communication & Data Systems: coordinate with IT, phone, internet, e‑fax, EMR and online systems to maintain functional and efficient systems.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant program or a medical degree.
• 3+ years of experience as an MOA in a community‑based primary health care setting.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• An egalitarian philosophy and non‑judgmental attitude across gender, culture, age, race, sexual orientation, language, ability and more.
• Previous experience working with culturally and economically diverse and marginalised communities.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary, culturally diverse teams.
• Experience applying strategies to address social determinants of health and health inequity.
• Excellent organisation, planning and computer skills.
• Experience running EMR queries for data collection and analysis.
• Experience developing policies and procedures and implementing quality improvement processes.

Assets

• Additional languages relevant to the Renfrew‑Collingwood neighbourhood.
• Experience working in a non‑profit Community Health Centre setting.
• Experience with OSCAR EMR.

Job Details

• Salary range: $41.30 per hour to start with progression.
• Paid vacation: 2 weeks per year plus paid sick days.
• Benefits: extended health and dental benefits; multi‑sector pension plan.

• Schedule: 35 hours/week, 8:30 am‑4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday.
• Location: RISE Community Health Centre, 5198 Joyce Street, Vancouver, BC, V5R 4H1.
• Expected start date: March 15 2026.
