Overview
The Retention Strategist at Common Thread Collective (CTC) leads client retention initiatives, owning the revenue stream through strategic forecasting, data‑backed insights, and execution across email, SMS, direct mail, and more. You pair strategic priorities with tactical campaigns, ensuring consistent performance and building trust with clients.
Responsibilities
- Own retention marketing initiatives and forecast revenue for clients.
- Translate forecasts into actionable email, SMS, and other channel strategies.
- Collaborate with growth strategists, media buyers, and content teams to produce branded, high‑impact campaigns.
- Analyze data, KPOs, and client feedback to refine tactics and submit weekly reports.
- Maintain data integrity and implement CTC’s Prophit system for forecasting and execution.
- Act as a client advocate, communicating performance, forecasting, and next steps.
- Document and iterate best practices within the team’s knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in email and SMS marketing, including campaigns, automations, segmentation, and optimization.
- Minimum 2 years in retention marketing, driving predictable revenue and lifetime value.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools like Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to stakeholders.
- Self‑driven, autonomous, and thrives in a goal‑oriented environment.

Success Metrics
- Achieve Prophit system certification and execute at top quality.

Compensation & Development
- First 30 days – $1.5K (Part‑time transition).
- Days 31–60 – $3K (Full‑time), manage first 3 accounts.
- Days 61–90 – $4–5K + performance bonuses.
Growth, transparency, and fairness are core priorities; a clear promotion path and weekly performance dashboards support career advancement.
