Retail Merchandising Analysis & Planning Manager
Supports the EMEA Head of Merchandising and the entire Merchandising team by performing cross-category analyses necessary for defining Retail merchandising activities. Responsible for weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales and stock analysis, primarily focusing on forecasting at the category level.
Tasks & Responsibilities :
Business Analysis: Perform analyses across all categories (RTW Men, Women & Kids, Accessories, Shoes) at the EMEA level related to sell-in / sell-out, sell-through, top performers, slow movers, and growth. Provide insights and alerts to retail merchandisers, along with recommendations on sales trends. Prepare presentations and reports summarizing category trends and performance to support decision-making. Assist the retail merchandising team during buying campaigns with strategic pre-buy and post-buy analyses. Develop analyses on store sales performance, sell-out, and sell-through metrics.
Planning & Forecasting: Lead forecasting efforts based on sales trends, investment, and product strategies for permanent and carry-over items. Support merchandisers with style-level forecasts and conduct forecasting meetings with the central team, ensuring forecasts are integrated into planning tools. Manage a team of three Inventory Stock Allocators to facilitate in-season merchandise movement.
Profile:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Merchandiser / Buyer, Sales Analyst, or similar role with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with BO, BI & Anaplan preferred.
- Strong capability in quantitative and qualitative sales and product analysis.
- Experience in the luxury industry is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Milan.
