The Team

A&M’s Financial & Operational Restructuring team is growing across Europe, and we are currently hiring at all levels in Italy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build or continue to build a career in advisory with the leading global name in restructuring and to help and support our clients with the financial and operational implications of the rapidly changing global environment and the economic headwinds, geopolitical disruption, and market volatility emerging from it.


Working directly with company boards and management teams on behalf of our clients, A&M stabilises crisis situations, drives agreement between stakeholders and creates a stable platform to drive growth.


Main responsibilities:

  • As part of a select and highly skilled team you will have the opportunity to:
  • Advise and implement critical solutions alongside client’s executives, investors, lenders or any other stakeholders facing distressed situations
  • Conduct diagnostic assessment of key issues and business outlook, appraisal of options & contingency planning and liquidity forecasting
  • Develop and implement transformation and restructuring plans, and integrated financial models as well as short term cash flow forecasting tools
  • Evaluate business plans and financial projections, including assessments of risks and opportunities
  • Contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in Italy and the European Restructuring community through the delivery of successful, value-add client engagements
  • Contribute to business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates as well as proactively identifying opportunities for business where appropriate
  • All new hires benefit from established training programs and mentorships. They are also encouraged to internally network with other service lines and work on other value add activities as well as being pro-active about international assignments.


Candidate profile:

  • Strong academic background combined with experience within a Restructuring and/or Transformation team at a leading consultancy firm or a Big 4
  • The ability to demonstrate experience in leading work streams in restructuring projects within a client engagement
  • Fluent business level English and Italian are essential as well as demonstrable relevant work experience in Italy
  • Strong financial analysis skills


Strong operational transformation skills

  • Advanced level of experience in financial modelling with ability to build 13-week cash flow forecast and 3-statement financial models with limited oversight
  • In addition to the skills and qualities detailed above, the desired candidate will also demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, impactful presenter
