About the job offer
As part of its construction and rehabilitation projects involving complex structures, particularly in the building, infrastructure and railway sectors, our client is looking for a Site Manager / OPC TCE (Scheduling, Steering and Coordination) to strengthen its project teams.
Main responsibilities:
You ensure the overall management of multidisciplinary construction operations (TCE), from the design phase through to the completion of works.
You define, implement and monitor the construction schedule (design, procurement, execution, testing and pre-commissioning).
You coordinate all stakeholders and contractors (technical and architectural packages).
You ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, quality standards and HSE regulations.
You lead coordination meetings and provide project reporting to the Client and Engineering teams.
You identify risks, propose corrective actions and anticipate critical interfaces.
You participate in commissioning, testing and handover phases of the works.
You capitalize on project feedback in order to optimize scheduling and coordination methods and tools.
You are involved in technical discussions with project managers, construction managers and discipline leads.
The role concerns new-build construction projects (construction and installation), mainly on the civil engineering scope, prior to the arrival of the commissioning team.
Experience in a railway environment (stations, tracks, structures, technical installations) is a real asset.
Profile required:
You hold an Engineering degree or Master’s degree (construction, civil engineering, building, public works or equivalent).
You have at least 5 years of experience in OPC, construction management or TCE coordination (5–10 years preferred).
A process engineering background is preferred but not mandatory.
You are proficient in planning tools (MS Project, Primavera or equivalent).
You have strong analytical skills regarding technical and organizational interfaces.
You are recognized for your autonomy, rigor and coordination skills.
You are comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments.
Former military profiles, particularly those experienced in overseas camp installation and operational site setup, are highly valued.
Fluency in English is mandatory. Additional languages are a strong advantage.
Experience in the railway sector is strongly appreciated.
Contract details:
Permanent contract.
Position based in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, with international travel (3 weeks per month).
