Tradebe Adro, located in Adro, Brescia, Italy, operates a liquid industrial waste treatment plant specializing in the management of hazardous liquid waste. The facility has a treatment capacity of 73,000 tons per year and employs approximately 15 people. Its treatment lines include evaporation, physicochemical treatment, sludge treatment via filter press and biological treatment.
This plant enables Tradebe to address various liquid industrial needs and, through its network of European plants and partners, to provide solutions for diverse environmental situations.
Main Purpose - Mission
The Site Manager will oversee the operations of our hazardous liquid industrial waste treatment facility in Adro, Brescia. This pivotal role ensures the efficient, safe and compliant functioning of the plant, aligning with Tradebe’s sustainability mission and operational objectives. The Site Manager is responsible for leading and developing a multidisciplinary team, driving performance improvements and contributing to the organization's growth by achieving financial, operational, safety and environmental targets.
The Site Manager will be appointed as Technical Manager of the site and will be responsible for Capex planning and execution, maintenance scheduling and preparation for SHEQ audits. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for all key stakeholders at the site level.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage all operational departments of the site (including Production, Maintenance and Laboratory) and ensure effective coordination with Logistics, Administration and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality). Team Management: Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team of 11-12 employees, ensuring high engagement, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Oversight: Ensure the achievement of plant objectives, including EBITDA, SHEQ and operational KPIs.
- Technical Responsibility: Appointed as Technical Manager of the site, accountable for effectively balancing operational needs, commercial requirements and Lab technical assessments. Capex and Maintenance: Lead Capex proposals and implementation based on safety, environmental and operational needs, with full accountability for their implementation.
- Financial Responsibility: Manage the plant's financial performance, ensuring effective budget management, oversight and cost control. Accountable for the site's P&L.
- Safety Culture: Promote and integrate a robust safety culture within all production, maintenance and laboratory activities to ensure a safe work environment. Responsible for SHEQ audits preparation. Represent the company during inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a liquid waste management or chemical plant, including oversight of production, maintenance, safety and logistics.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the waste, chemical, petrochemical or oil & gas industries. Experience in the plastics or pharmaceutical sectors will also be considered.
- Expertise in liquid waste management plant, maintenance and chemical processes.
- Financial knowledge and experience with P&L management.
- Proven organizational and planning capabilities in production environments.
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities.
- Professional proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
- Driver’s license.
- Residency near the Brescia/Bergamo area.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field would be a plus, particularly for candidates focusing on operational and financial management.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, for managing operations, financials and reporting.
- Knowledge of circular economy principles and sustainable industrial practices.
- Experience implementing safety and quality systems.
