Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reservations Manager role based in Venice at San Clemente Palace Venice. The Reservations Manager oversees the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of individual and group bookings across all channels. This role manages room inventory and rate plans, coordinates with Sales, Front Office, and Revenue Management to optimize occupancy and revenue, and ensures all reservations information is correctly recorded in the system. The Reservations Manager responds promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, modifies or cancels bookings as needed, and resolves any issues related to reservations. The role also includes preparing reports, monitoring performance metrics, implementing standard operating procedures, and training and coaching team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Strong reservations management skills, including handling individual and group bookings, managing room inventory, and using hotel reservation and PMS/CRS systems.
  • Proven customer service and communication abilities, with a focus on professional, clear, and courteous interactions with guests and internal stakeholders.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with experience in upselling, cross-selling, and supporting revenue and rate strategies to maximize occupancy and RevPAR.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and developing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze data and reports, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency with hotel software systems and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in a reservations or front office leadership role within luxury or upscale hospitality is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Italian required; additional language skills, especially Italian, are an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Opera System.
