Description of the research activity:

The project falls within the field of social pedagogy and aims to explore the theme of citizenship education as a formative process geared towards developing autonomous, responsible individuals who are capable of actively participating in democratic life. The purpose of the research is to examine theoretical models and educational practices aimed at promoting civic, ethical and social skills in various formal and informal educational contexts, as privileged places for the development of citizenship skills, with particular attention to processes of inclusion, the reduction of inequalities and the promotion of collective well‑being. Within this framework, financial literacy will be explored as a specific dimension of contemporary citizenship. In this sense, the goal of the project is to integrate citizenship education and financial literacy into a pedagogical framework consistent with the objectives of social pedagogy.
