Research contract holders - Sociology of economics, labour, environment and territory (Dr. Viganò, Federica)

The RE-LOCI project focuses on analysing and activating local food networks in South Tyrol, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of the regional agri-food system. Using a participatory action research approach, the work explores the social processes connecting farmers, consumer cooperatives, and citizens.

Responsibilities

• Map short food supply chain best practices.
• Engage Koncoop consumer-members to define social, environmental and economic indicators for local product selection.
• Involve local producers to assess their potential participation in the supply chain.
• Monitor the social and organisational effects of the short supply chain pilot phase.
• Feed findings into at least four scientific publications.
