Position Summary

The training coordinator is responsible for executing the design and delivery of training to support our attorney and operations employees. This role will be tasked with updating and evolving training material, resources, and delivery methods to foster a remote and/or hybrid work force. This role will be responsible for training new employees and the ongoing development of existing employees.

Salary

$55,000 / Year

Essential Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Train new employees on company policies and procedures and facilitate orientation using various training methods (e.g. classroom, video, role play methodology, etc.)
  • Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations to attorneys, courts, and other employees of the organization.
  • Create training schedules for all company departments.
  • Track training progress and create reports on outcomes of all training.
  • Communicate with employees and management on scheduled training.
  • Partner with the Training Manager to identify and assess current and future business training needs by consulting with department heads and reviewing current training material content and delivery.
  • Create and administer proficiency tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training materials and strategies.
  • Assist with effectively organizing, maintaining, and updating training materials and resources. Search for gaps in training material or content that should be filled to ensure productivity among staff members.
  • Conduct ongoing refresher and cross‑training modules in critical areas as needed.
  • Partner with the Training Manager and management before facilitating training sessions and updating course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes.
  • Provide the Training Manager with regular feedback on new hires’ training progress and identify opportunities for future training.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Language Ability:
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format at an advanced level
    • Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations to attorneys, courts, and other employees of the organization.
    • Communicate complex topics through written documents
  • Math Ability:
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving practices
  • Computer Skills:
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Outlook
    • Adequate experience using virtual meeting software.

Education and Experience

  • REQUIRED:
    • Paralegal certification or similar legal services degree, or 3+ years of paralegal experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a training or educational role
    • Experience working with business professionals
    • Familiarity with reading court documents and drafting documents for court submissions
  • PREFERRED:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, Communication, or other similar fields
    • Training experience in a Law Firm or Legal Service Provider
    • Experience E‑filing in multiple jurisdictions

  • • Able to sit at and work on a computer for periods of time
  • • Able to lift up to 10 pounds and reach/bend to retrieve items in cabinets and shelves
  • • Required to be at the work location to perform job functions
  • • Ability to speak, hear and see for the assigned work day
  • • Repetitive key stroke/data entry for the assigned work day
