Reliability & Maintenance Engineer
Pisticci, Italy
As a Reliability and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for setting, implementing and maintaining the reliability strategy in our production plant. You will take care of the development of repair and maintenance processes of our facility and provide support in shutdown planning, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, operational strategies for maintenance and repairs and all types of technical support.
You will work in a team with a high level of expertise and experience, interact with Olin global maintenance function and directly contribute to achieving our goals in terms of safe and reliable operations, business profitability and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, optimize and monitor the maintenance & reliability work process and strategies.
- Follow global maintenance and reliability processes and support their implementation in plant.
- Align plant performance with business unit objectives, develop action plans for the implementation, execution and improvement of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and repair work to identify weaknesses in plant reliability and ensure the application of optimized workflows.
- Review maintenance and spare parts strategy and determine requirements based on risk assessment.
- Lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process and support the investigation.
- Interact with reliability engineers at European sites regarding knowledge and expertise transfer.
- Supervise and oversee the efficient use of external resources (contractors).
- Prepare and manage maintenance budget in line with the business/ function expectations.
- Supervise cost control and monitoring of commissioned services and material deliveries in accordance with the approved order value.
- Monitor, optimize and implement the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) procurement process and inventory management.
- Handle approved projects (maintenance expenses & capital) and support in the processing of work orders and maintenance plans.
- Actively involved in EH&S tasks and duties.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing company in the chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance and reliability principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant safety, environmental protection and workplace guidelines and laws.
- Foundational knowledge of process and plant engineering.
- Working familiarity with process control technology.
- Expertise in maintenance and testing processes.
- Expertise in handling plant equipment (rotating and process containment equipment, piping systems and instrumentation) and related legal requirements.
- Good knowledge of methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in project management and background in administering and maintaining AI‑driven processes is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
- IT Proficiency.
- Strong cross‑functional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Goal‑oriented attitude and organizational skills.
- High degree of initiative in solving problems.
- Strong sense of duty and responsibility.
