We’re looking for a dynamic leader to drive commercial success of our Surgical account in the EMEA region. The role is field‑based and available in multiple European markets.

Locations: Aachen, Germany; Barcelona, Spain; Madrid, Spain; Milano, Italy; Pomezia, Roma, Italy; Prague, Czechia; Warsaw, Poland.

Purpose: To lead the Surgical Account Manager (SAM) & Clinical Consultants outside of DACH. The RSM will drive key business initiatives, develop resources, and ensure strategic and tactical operations achieve business and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan aligned with corporate objectives to empower the regional team to exceed revenue plans and patient support.
  • Identify opportunities, generate market awareness, and drive adoption of ABMD surgical product portfolio.
  • Support new account opening and build a KOL network.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Sales/Clinical team through 1:1 travel and on‑site coaching.
  • Coordinate and manage joint activities with local Regional Manager, Physician Program team, Marketing & Training Department, and local Cardiological Franchise Teams.
  • Ensure competence of staff and clients by developing, retaining, and managing performance within the Sales/Clinical Team.
  • Continuously develop team’s personal and professional skills.
  • Grow and establish peer‑to‑peer surgical networks to share best practices and develop peer‑to‑peer educational programs.
  • Work in coordination with PPD team, Medical Office, Marketing, and the local teams.
  • Cooperate with development and implementation of surgical campaigns with the EU/US Marketing Teams.
  • Represent the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism.
  • Represent the company at surgical conferences across the EMEA region.
  • Provide case support when required.
  • Travel regularly up to 80%.
  • Hold regular meetings with field team and clients.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • College degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven sales professional with a strong medical device background.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in medical device sales, ideally in Cardiac Surgery/Cardiology (Mechanical Circulatory Support) or related therapeutic areas.
  • Prior leadership experience, including responsibility for leading and managing sales teams.
  • Strong combination of commercial expertise and medical understanding.
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with all laws and regulations required for the medical device industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent English (additional languages highly valued).
