JOB OVERVIEW
Britoil Offshore Services SRL (“BOS SRL”), based in Genoa, is the Italian Strategic Business Unit of the Britoil Group. BOS SRL manages a fleet of over 25 Offshore Supply Vessels (including PSVs and AHTSs) operating in the Mediterranean Sea, Africa, Red Sea, Black Sea, and North Sea.
POSITION: Regional Operations Manager (Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager with a strong background in the shipping industry. In this role, you will lead the operations of our fleet and oversee all activities related to the vessels under BOS SRL’s management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead BOS SRL’s Operations Department, supervising all operational activities and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with new or updated rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines, including those from classification societies, Flag States, and Port States.
- Maintain close communication with vessel crews, providing support during inspections, Port State Controls, and emergencies.
- Liaise with clients on operational matters and manage customer feedback or complaints.
- Conduct Masters’ briefings and performance appraisals.
- Coordinate with manning and port agents as required.
- Participate in management review meetings, DOC audits, and ISO audits.
- Operate in accordance with the Company’s approved ISM and ISO systems.
You will be part of the Operations Team and report directly to the Head of Strategic Business Unit .
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL INTERFACES
- Internal: Technical, Crewing, HSEQ, and Chartering departments
- External: Charterers, Flag State Administrations, Suppliers, Classification Societies

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master’s Certificate of Competency (preferred)
- Solid knowledge of the shipping industry, preferably in offshore operations
- A meticulous, proactive, and results-driven approach
- Strong understanding of operational, HSEQ, and crewing matters
- Familiarity with ISM and ISO standards
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in both English and Italian
