JOB SUMMARY:


The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will compliantly market BioCryst products to our customers, acting as the company’s representative to key stakeholders, acting as the first company’s representative in the assigned Regions.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • The RAM is responsible for providing scientific information to HCPs on disease and company products (post AIC - in line with SmPC) within their assigned Regions.
  • Responsible for the successful launches and commercialization of company products.
  • Responsible for leading relationship with Clinicians, KOLs, Pharmacists, Wholesalers, ASL and Hospitals.
  • Achieve the annual objectives respecting marketing strategies, which are adapted for local needs but consistent with global strategies.
  • Identification, development & management of accounts/customers according to highest standards of compliance with principles of good corporate governance, professional and ethical behavior and safety standards, national legal requirements and regulations.
  • Regular use of a CRM and other analytical systems for communication and documentation purposes and to analyze situations, trends, dynamics, competitors, new entries and deriving actions from it.
  • Develop exceptional business plans with analysis of individual accounts and design of tactics for each of them depending on customer needs, including resource allocations that link to strong business results.
  • Be extremely customer-focused and able to build and foster strong positive relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders.
  • Initiation, organization and implementation of promotional & educational events in the assigned territory that adhere to all relevant promotional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Active participation at training and local/national congresses and events as/when required.
  • Complete expense reports and other required administrative reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Report all call information in a timely fashion.
  • Focus on the end results, demonstrating personal accountability, a sense of urgency and commitment to achieve business objectives.
  • Exemplify strong collaboration and team-work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively use resources and share best practices that lead to achieving or exceeding businessgoals.
  • Adhere to all company compliance guidelines, policy and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in the scientific disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotech selling experience.
  • Knowledge of market access regional regulations and ability to lead local reimbursement processes.
  • Rare Disease and small company experience preferred.
  • Start-up commercial experience a plus.
  • Existing relationships with key accounts within assigned geography are helpful.
  • Strong track record of successfully exceeding performance.
  • Strong business and analytical ability.
  • Proven ability to formulate and implement effectiverare disease actionsand activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant disease states and current treatments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to create and innovate, build and expand business and work both independently as well as in teams.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex information.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of territory at regional level.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
