HR Officer
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Officer to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, has a strong administrative background, and wants to build a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Help ensure compliance with Fair Work and SCHADS Award guidelines
- Manage end-to-end recruitment of care staff and office staff (advertising, screening, interviewing)
- Complete compliance checks: right-to-work, references, training
- Coordinate staff onboarding and induction training
- Maintain HR records in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and arrange mandatory training and refresher courses
- Handle employee relations issues (absence, performance, complaints)
- Conduct probation reviews and support appraisals
- Promote staff wellbeing, engagement, and retention initiatives
Qualifications
- Certificate IV or Diploma in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or working towards)
- Sound knowledge of Fair Work legislation and relevant Awards (preferred)
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR role (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
